Brilliant service - easy to deal with and decent pricing. Due to the orientation of our house, it doesn’t get sun on the back and so when the rendering gets wet it doesn’t dry off properly, allowing algae to grow. LBC were able to clean it all off and apply biocide to help prevent it growing back (added bonus, when this ran off it completely cleaned out patio too). As you can see from the before and after, the house looks brand new again! Very happy and well recommendedPosted on Google Noah CharlesworthTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We used this company for exterior render soft wash and the end results werefantastic. We had one wall needed further cleaning with stubborn black stains from the chimney lead flashing but was high to reach and the company head Conan was very helpful and sent another team to complete the job with cherry picker and was cleaned immaculately by two great guys Keiran and Nash.. Very happy with the results and highly recommend.. Ask for Keiran and Nash team..! Will use again.Posted on Google Jay MarctayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I attempted to DIY pressure wash our 150 year old house to remove the carbon from the brick, this did nothing to remove the stain and just damaged the wall. I’m so glad I stopped and decided to hire LBC Exterior Cleaning. Nathan and Harvey were professional, friendly and made light work of our brickwork. The carbon literally melted off the wall!Posted on Google James GardnerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great service and excellent operator, Misha was awesome 👌

Hillingdon Render Cleaning Services For Every Property Type
LBC Exterior Cleaning provides professional render cleaning services in Hillingdon, London’s second largest and most westerly borough a place where medieval village centres in Harmondsworth and Harefield sit a few miles from Heathrow’s flight path and the Grand Union Canal’s lock-side cottages border interwar pebbledash semis in Ruislip, Eastcote and Northwood. That range of property types and planning designations makes render cleaning here more varied than almost any other outer London borough. Hillingdon has 31 designated conservation areas, ranging from old village centres and planned residential estates to canal-side buildings, alongside 15 Areas of Special Local Character. LBC uses softwash biocide and DOFF steam cleaning at low pressure across all of it, with the experience to match the method to the surface regardless of whether that surface is century-old roughcast or brand-new acrylic render.
What Is the Right Method for Cleaning Render in Hillingdon?
The method depends on the render type, the property’s location in the borough, and its planning designation.
High-temperature steam at very low pressure with no chemical use. The required method for listed and heritage buildings within Hillingdon’s village conservation areas, and the necessary first step for Heathrow-corridor properties where atmospheric carbon deposits need lifting before biocide can be applied.
Low-pressure biocide treatment kills algae, moss and lichen at root level, washing clear with rainfall over 1 to 4 weeks. The only safe method for interwar pebbledash and roughcast across Ruislip, Eastcote and Northwood, and for modern acrylic finishes on newer developments across the borough.
Steam first to lift embedded staining, then biocide to prevent regrowth for 3 to 5 years. LBC’s standard recommendation for long-neglected surfaces and for properties in Hayes, West Drayton and Yiewsley where pollution and organic growth compound each other.
High-pressure washing is not suitable for any render surface in Hillingdon, and is particularly damaging to the pebbledash aggregate and historic lime renders that define the borough’s most protected streets.
How Does LBC's Render Cleaning Service Work?
We assess render type, conservation area or Area of Special Local Character status, soiling level, surface area and access requirements on-site or from photos. For listed buildings and historic properties, we confirm the appropriate method before quoting. You receive a fixed price with no surprises on the day.
Hillingdon’s range of property types from two-storey interwar semis in Ruislip to multi-storey developments in Uxbridge town centre and canal-side buildings in Harefield means access requirements vary significantly. We select the right method: rope access, cherry picker or telescopic equipment, and handle all logistics at no additional administrative cost.
Biocide is applied to all treated surfaces at low pressure. Where DOFF steam is required, this is completed first to lift embedded staining before biocide treatment is applied.
Full walkround before we leave. You receive before-and-after photos and written aftercare guidance.
Does Your Render Show Any of These Signs?
- Green staining running downward from window ledges, roof edges or gutters
- Grey or black surface discolouration on properties near the A4, A312 or under Heathrow's flight path
- Black patches on north-facing or tree-shaded rear and side elevations
- Yellow or brown discolouration on pebbledash or roughcast panels
- Chalky or powdering surface where roughcast has lost its original colour intensity
- Biological growth beginning under paintwork on historic lime render in village conservation areas
On Hillingdon’s interwar semis in Ruislip and Eastcote, green upper-storey pebbledash staining is the most common presentation, worst on rear elevations shaded by the mature garden trees that came with the original Metroland estate layouts. On Heathrow-corridor properties in Hayes and West Drayton, carbon discolouration on render facing the road is the defining issue, often combined with green or black organic growth on the opposite elevation. The earlier exterior render cleaning services in Hillingdon are applied, the less restoration work is needed.
What is the best method for cleaning render in Hillingdon?
For interwar pebbledash and roughcast: softwash biocide only. For historic lime render or listed buildings in village conservation areas: DOFF steam cleaning. For Heathrow-corridor properties with atmospheric carbon staining: DOFF steam first, then softwash biocide. High-pressure washing is not appropriate for any of these surfaces.
