Brilliant service - easy to deal with and decent pricing. Due to the orientation of our house, it doesn’t get sun on the back and so when the rendering gets wet it doesn’t dry off properly, allowing algae to grow. LBC were able to clean it all off and apply biocide to help prevent it growing back (added bonus, when this ran off it completely cleaned out patio too). As you can see from the before and after, the house looks brand new again! Very happy and well recommendedPosted on Google Noah CharlesworthTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We used this company for exterior render soft wash and the end results werefantastic. We had one wall needed further cleaning with stubborn black stains from the chimney lead flashing but was high to reach and the company head Conan was very helpful and sent another team to complete the job with cherry picker and was cleaned immaculately by two great guys Keiran and Nash.. Very happy with the results and highly recommend.. Ask for Keiran and Nash team..! Will use again.Posted on Google Jay MarctayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I attempted to DIY pressure wash our 150 year old house to remove the carbon from the brick, this did nothing to remove the stain and just damaged the wall. I’m so glad I stopped and decided to hire LBC Exterior Cleaning. Nathan and Harvey were professional, friendly and made light work of our brickwork. The carbon literally melted off the wall!Posted on Google James GardnerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great service and excellent operator, Misha was awesome 👌

Victorian Stucco Specialists
LBC Exterior Cleaning provides professional render cleaning services in Hammersmith and Fulham, covering the borough’s stucco-fronted Victorian terraces in Fulham and Parsons Green, the period properties of Brook Green, Ravenscourt Park and Hammersmith Grove, and the Edwardian and interwar renders across Barons Court and West Kensington. With over 40 conservation areas borough-wide, nearly every street in Hammersmith and Fulham carries some level of planning constraint on how its exterior surfaces can be cleaned. LBC uses DOFF steam cleaning and softwash biocide at low pressure across all of them, both of which are appropriate for conservation area and listed building work without chemical intervention or pressure damage.
Which Cleaning Method Is Right for Your Render in Hammersmith and Fulham?
The right method depends on the render type and the conservation area status of the building.
High-temperature steam at very low pressure with no chemical use. The approved method for stucco, lime render, and listed or conservation area properties across Fulham, Parsons Green and Hammersmith Grove. Lifts atmospheric carbon and organic staining without abrasion or surface damage.
Low-pressure biocide treatment kills algae, moss and lichen at root level, washing clear over 1 to 4 weeks. Used on sand and cement renders, roughcast, and modern acrylic finishes where chemical application is permitted.
Steam first to lift embedded staining, then biocide to prevent regrowth for 3 to 5 years. LBC’s standard recommendation for long-neglected stucco or period render on north-facing and tree-shaded elevations across the borough.
How Does LBC's Render Cleaning Service Work?
We assess render type, conservation area status, soiling level, surface area and access requirements on-site or from photos. For listed buildings and conservation area properties, we confirm the appropriate cleaning method before quoting. You receive a fixed price with no surprises on the day.
Hammersmith and Fulham’s mix of tall Victorian terraces, multi-storey mansion blocks and narrow period streets requires careful access planning. We select the right method: rope access, cherry picker or telescopic equipment, and handle all logistics at no additional administrative cost.
DOFF steam is applied first where required to lift embedded staining. Softwash biocide is then applied to all treated surfaces to kill residual organic matter and prevent regrowth.
Full walkround before we leave. You receive before-and-after photos and written aftercare guidance.
How Do You Know If Your Render Needs Cleaning?
- Green or yellow staining running downward from window ledges, roof edges or gutters
- Black carbon deposits on stucco fronts facing the A4, Fulham Road or King Street corridors
- White or grey streaking on painted stucco where atmospheric pollution has embedded over time
- Patchy, uneven colouring on Victorian render where biological growth is beginning beneath the paint layer
- Chalky or powdering surface on lime or sand and cement render where organic matter has degraded the finish
On Hammersmith and Fulham’s stucco-fronted Victorian terraces, the most common early warning is a gradual greying of the painted surface, most visible on upper storeys and north-facing elevations. Left untreated, biological growth beneath painted stucco causes paint failure and surface damage that is expensive to repair. The earlier exterior render cleaning services in Hammersmith and Fulham are applied, the less restoration work the property will need.
